I am a teacher, writer, and archival researcher living in Arizona and New Mexico. I’m a faculty member in English at Northland Pioneer College, a community college that serves Navajo and Apache counties in northeast Arizona. My research tracks the intersection of literary culture and material history in the U.S. West.
My writing has appeared in American Literature, ESQ, and Great Plains Quarterly. I’ve also shared my work as an invited speaker at the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe and the Southwest Museum of the American Indian in Los Angeles. In 2017 I received a PhD in Literature and Cultural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
I chronicle Southwestern history on instagram @arroyoarrow.
